What I'm Wearing Wednesday

{Peplum + Baubles}

Happy middle day of the week! Today is not only favorite day because we are getting closer and closer to Friday but also because it is "Girl's Night". Every Wednesday all my girl friends and I go to dinner, this was created by our VP of Party Planning Baili. I look forward to it every week! Like I mentioned on Monday I decided to wear my new {Bauble} necklace to work! Happy the weekends almost here!

The {Peplum} top is a gift my parents just gave me from France. They got it at Zara because they know my obsession and love for it. One family vacation in New York my mom, dad, and brother gave me a 45 min time limit in one store. So of course I chose Zara, they never knew how bad my addiction was until this moment. They could not believe the amount of clothing I had in my arms within the first 10 minutes. During that time frame I think I tried on 25+ items and purchased quite a few. Put a nice big charge on the old Visa and it was totally worth it. Here is the same top: Zara.

The necklace was a great find on Etsy. It is identical to the J.Crew necklace priced at $150.00, I paid $24 including shipping. Find the necklace here if you want to save more than 80%! Etsy. Be sure to check out her shop because they offer a ton of different color combinations. The only downfall is that it takes about 4 weeks to receive since they are shipped from China.

Happy Shopping and Happy Wednesday!

Merchandise Monday

+Jewels+

Happy Monday! So I went home for lunch and was happily greeted by some packages that I had completely forgotten about! Oh what a wonderful Monday, I figured I would share the two gems I ordered and received. Both are from Etsy and I love them so much, I can't wait to wear them out this week/weekend!

Love them both, actually wearing my new cross right now! Here's a preview of my mini arm party today.

Almost Famous

{Star Envy}

I will admit, I vicariously live through the movies, tv, and music media outlets. I am kind of a media/famous person fanatic, and it is mostly because of the beautiful clothing. I am envious on so many levels that it should be illegal. I mean, let's all be honest, who doesn't stare at every detail of every outfit splattered in the trashy magazines we all can't live without. While divulging in my US Weekly I decided to write about some of the most iconic outfits I have stored in my memory. Whether the outfits be from movies, red carpets, or music videos I love them all and wish everyday I could be prancing around in the streets of Louisville KY in them. If only I were famous....sigh.

I could literally spend hours and days picking out these memorable outfits. These are just the ones that struck a nerve at the time being. They have stuck with me because I gain inspiration for my own wardrobe through them. I hate to admit it but famous people really set the bar for new trends, my favorite part is taking different aspects from them and applying them to my own style. I have seperated them into categories below, enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!!!!

A Girl Can Dream

Whats In My Basket....

If you haven't noticed yet I have a serious addiction to shopping. I genuinely look forward to going online and see the new items my favorite store have recently added. Recently I've found myself gravitating to a lot of items that at this moment make no sense for me to commit to buying. So I thought why not share a lot of my wish list items that are patiently waiting for me to click the "purchase" bottom and give them a new home.

Starting at the top row moving left to right:
1. Albeit Jewelry: Q Necklace
2. Ann Taylor: Pumps
3. Jennifer Zeuner: Initial Necklace
4. Manolo Blahnik: Orina
5. Tory Burch: Pebbled Leather Satchel
6. Marc by Marc Jacobs: Red Watch
7. Marc by Marc Jacobs: Rose Gold Watch
8. David Yurman: Initial Necklace
9. Jennifer Zeuner: Initial Bangle

Have you noticed my obsession with initials and {q's}. Sorry bout it but Q is a hard letter to come by and so when I see something with it just have to have it. Accessories are my weakness and I really would love to dive myself into complete credit card debt and purchase every single item. Thankfully I am sane and know when to say NO. Slowly but surely these items will be in my possession and I cannot wait to show you all when I finally do click the "purchase" button!

Faded

{Oh La Laa, OMBRE}

Ombre is popping up everywhere. The faded colors always remind me of rainbow sherbet ice cream, which by the way is my favorite kind. I stumbled upon so many different ombre pieces that I decided they would be perfect for my post today. All of them are the perfect color pallet for a beautiful summer day!

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!! Only 2 more full days left until the best day of the week!! Be back tomorrow with "Jewel Tones".

Weekend Update

{Summer Hues}

Summer is finally here, yippeee! I personally think it is the greatest time of year. Out come all the bright colors, cookouts, and front porch drinking on hammocks and porch swings. I decided to throw together a few different outfits I have worn out recently. Lots of bright colors and bright lipsticks. I even experienced my first "sock bun" this past weekend and I have to admit that I was really happy with the result! It served as both a new fun hairstyle and kept my hair from making me sweat like, as my friends like to say, "a wet dog with a P lip"- Yep that one is for Mere, Baili, and Jo. You all know exactly what I am talking about. Anyway back to the sock bun, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it even though at first I was scared I was looking a little too "geisha" like at times, I put all my fears aside and rocked the sock. Be back tomorrow with {Oh La Laa Ombre}.

{Printastic}

+Positively Perfect Prints+

I have always been a huge fan of {Prints} whether it be stripes, florals, or polka dots: I love them all. People assume prints are a hard thing to pull off but in reality they aren't at all. Once again, it is all about how you feel in your clothes and the way you present yourself, confidence is always key. I put together a few different prints that I really adore right now. They are stand out pieces that will be sure to catch any wandering eye. The easiest way to wear a print is to keep the rest of your look simple. Enjoy!

  • {Floral Jeans} Asos: I really love these floral printed jeans from Asos. I think the faded coloring and subtle print is just perfect. Paired with a simple v-neck or pocket tee and I think it is a great everyday look for Summer.
  • {Peplum Polka Dots} Asos: Now I know what your thinking, the flared waist and red and white polka dots kind of scream "Minnie Mouse". I have to admit the color combo and innocent cut of the shirt can give off that impression, however, I love it. With some black shorts and sky high heels no one will be confusing you with Mickey's leading lady. If you are really feeling daring I think it would look really great with a chunky necklace like this one here.
  • {Tribal Wedges} Zara: Wedges are essential to any summer wardrobe. This is not your ordinary black wedge and I love the tribal print on the bottom. These could easily be worn with a simple dress, a printed top and jeans, or with shorts- day or night. The top is so simple that the sides really make the shoe stand out.
  • {Sky Blue Shorts} Zara: These shorts make me so happy, I think the subtle jacquard print and color are impeccable. The zipper pockets give them some edge and the length are perfect for again, day or night. The color is so versatile that it could be worn with bright colors, white, or black. They're already in my basket, I am in love.
  • {Tribal Dress} Asos: Are you frantically clicking the link to buy this dress? I have loved this dress from the moment I laid eyes on it. The colors and print just really took my breath away. The cut of the dress is basic but perfect for any body type: hugging in all the right spots. At a mere $40.00 can you really resist?
So there you have it my positively perfect prints. Sorry for such a long delay on a new post but I was on a mini writing break! I promise to be back with a weekend update tomorrow featuring: {sock buns, bold neck parties, and bright colors}.
